Chabanov studied at art school in his youth, then there was a long pause in drawing to which Chabanov would not return to until 2009. Since then he has not and stopped drawing and working on his craft. His work focusses on representing the sexual body. Chabanov's works have been featured in exhibitions and he has works with the Jose Art Gallery. The artist resides in Kiev, Ukraine.
